Ik dacht waarom alleen gaan testen terwijl dit een app is die echt iedereen zou moeten gebruiken. Je hebt alles bij de hand, cijfers, aanwezigheid, gedrag van studenten. Dit lijkt echt een geweldige app voor alle docenten.

Evernote in de klas

Met mijn klas operationeel sport- en bewegingsmanagement ga ik evernote uitproberen. Ik wil een specifieke map 'notietieblok' ofwel 'notebook' met hen delen die alle klasgenoten kunnen raadplegen. Ik denk dat ik dat volgens onderstaande manier moet aanpakken. Vereiste is dat zij niets kunnen verwijderen wel zaken toevoegen. Misschien dat @Marcel daar iets over kan prijsgeven?

We zijn met een project bezig. De sportweek voor alle aankomende eerste jaars. Vier groepjes en vier sportdagen. Het grote geheel moet vaak in het zicht gehouden worden. Misschien kan ik hen vragen de projectvoorstellen in Evernote te plaasten? En wat foto's van de accommodatie als ze die bezocht hebben. En de notulen van de vergadering met hun projectteam? Het zoe leuk zijn als zij via deze manier mij op de hoogte kunnen houden van de vorderingen van hun project en daarmee ook de anderen op de hoogte houden zodat deze week door de afzonderlijke dagen een succes wordt.

Terwijl ik dit type probeer ik een pptx file te exporteren binnen evernote maar dat accepteerd evernote niet. De premium versie overigens wel. Dit vind ik direct een minpunt aangezien ik veel werk met powerpoint. De optie om een pptx te converteren naar pdf neem ik ter overweging zodat wel de informatie te raadplegen is.

Evernote vervanger van papier, printer en dictafoon!

'Evernote' is voor mij een echte vervanger van mijn notitieblok(ken), printer en dictafoon.
Ik gebruik het voor het begeleiden van mijn SLB studenten, notities tijdens vergaderingen,
begeleiden van stagaires. Voor iedere SLB student heb ik een aparte pagina met een foto
en andere belangrijke gegevens zoals dyslexie etc...

Ook schermafdrukken van aanwezigheid en de cijfers, ook plaats ik hier gegevens die ik
krijg van collega's over deze studenten. Hieronder heb ik een voorbeeld geplaatst.

Ook neem ik gesprekjes met studenten op en plaats deze in evernote.
Ik plaats belangrijke mailtjes direct in evernote, ook foto's direct van mijn mobiel
of ipod naar 'Evernote'etc.. etc...


Ik gebruik 'Evernote' op mijn laptop, ipad, ipod en mijn Galaxy S telefoon.
Ik heb inmiddels een aantal collega's besmet met het evernote virus het werkt
nl. op bijna alle devices en je hebt dus altijd alles bij je (wel internet nodig).

Ik kan eigenlijk niet meer zonder!!!!

iPads set to replace school textbooks in Georgia state?

Georgia state legislators and educators are considering a proposal by Apple to move from printed textbooks to iPads, according to a report. “Last week we met with Apple, and…for $500 per child per year, they will furnish every child with an iPad, wi-fi the system, provide all the books on the system, all the upgrades, all the teacher training – and the results they’re getting from these kids is phenomenal,” said Republican Senate President pro tem Tommie Williams.

From a monetary perspective, the move could well make sense. According Williams, "We’re currently spending about $40 million a year on books. And they last about seven years. We have books that don’t even have 9/11. This is the way kids are learning, and we need to be willing to move in that direction.”

The news follows a New York Times report that highlighted a successful pilot program at Roslyn High School on Long Island. From starting with 47 iPads, the school plans to expand the program to all its 1,100 students. They have found that the iPad engages students and has positively altered the teaching landscape. "[The iPad] allows students to correspond with teachers and turn in papers and homework assignments, and preserve a record of student work in digital portfolios,” said Larry Reiff, an English teacher at Roslyn who has moved to online delivery for all lesson content. “It allows us to extend the classroom beyond these four walls.”

There are around 5,400 education apps for the iPad available from the iTunes App Store. Further, the iTunes store also offers thousands of iTunes U free lectures and content from top tertiary institutions including Yale, Stanford, Oxford and Cambridge among many others. [via Appleinsider]
